BKS Nominated Charity

After some discussion we have decided to launch a campaign to raise £6,000 for the Jersey Cheshire Homes Charity over the next twelve months.  This is the first time we have undertaken a challenge of this kind and achieving the goal will be a significant landmark for bks.  We have for some time had a policy of encouraging all staff to be as involved as possible within the community and to this end we are willing to allow staff paid leave of three days a year over and above their holiday entitlement in order to participate in community related projects.

For 2013 we decided to nominate a single charity to benefit from our endeavours over the next twelve months and we have so far raised £72 from a “card trick” performed over the Christmas period.  Besides this staff will continue to be involved in their own personal community interests, some being more active than others; we have an active army cadet and a member of the honorary police force amongst the team.
